Porcelain Set

To keep a porcelain dinner or tea set looking nice, wash pieces by hand using warm water and mild soap. Avoid harsh scrubbers, extreme temperature changes, and strong dishwashing detergents—especially for sets that feature delicate metallic gold or platinum trim. Daily Use and Washing: Use a soft sponge or cloth instead of steel wool or abrasive powders. Wash items one at a time in a plastic basin to prevent chipping against a hard sink. Skip the dishwasher if your set has hand-painted details or metallic rims. Let pieces air dry on a soft towel or microfiber mat. Storage and Protection: Place felt pads or paper napkins between stacked plates to prevent scratching. Do not overcrowd shelves or cram cups inside one another by their handles. Keep heirloom sets away from direct sunlight and extreme humidity.
